Queen Of The Naga: Nama Lami

Name: Nama Lami
age: 30 years old (approximately 15 years old though is considered an adult to the naga)
race: desert Naga
Occupation newly crown queen of Yani (naga queendom)
relationships: Hama Lami (mother-deceased) Gold Linaric ( great aunt- unknown to both of them)  Mana Lami (advisor/nanny- adopted family)
skills:  digging, bubble blowing (naga venom) , field nursing (naga venom), sleeping
likes: cooking (horribly bad at cooking due to having little sense of taste) bubbles, freeing slaves. having fun. sleeping in.  digging
dislikes: working, people not trying her cooking, slavery, being woken up.
 
   Nama learned to hate slavery as soon as she could remember. her Nanny known only as  Mana  was the only one who really cared for her. she understood Hama was her mom, but she never had time for Nama, but she would constantly beat Mana.  Hama did tell the child that Mana was a 'dirty desert elf' and was as bad as a human, they deserved slavery or death. when she asked Mana about it. Mana did admit she was a slave and that she had tried to kill Hama. Nama asked why she didn't try to kill her or her mom, she had the opertunity. Mana told her she had honor, she was defeated and swore to Hama to serve the family until her death and she would do it.  the two grew fond and Mana would teach Nama how to be 'honorable' and kind.  Mana was the mother Nama never really had.  Mana was sad still when Hama passed due to illness and some said the nurses didn't do all they could, that most people didn't like the queen and wished her dead, and Nama couldn't say she caught her self wishing ill on her mother, but she never wanted her to die.  As a young queen the people wished for her to take up an advisor from her mothers staff and  it was clear to her it would be Mana. despite resistance that slaves shouldn't be  advisors it was soon clear that it was the right choice. Mana clearly kept everyone best interest in heart and kept the queen in line.

   Nama quickly realized queen life wasn't easy she 'couldn't sleep in often,  and she couldn't just change the laws. as hard as she tried the more she tried to alter slavery laws the more people put up a fight. to the point she decided to take matters more directly. at night she would sneak out and try and free slaves. Mana eventually caught her and to her surprise Mana started to help.

Nama's palace is made of sand magically held together. Nama has a habit to dig through the 3rd floor floor and fall into the throne room on the first floor. to help her not injure her self there are bubble domes on the side of the aisle for her to land on... the down side is she has learned to enjoy bouncing on them so she digs through the floor more. another oddity is Nama sleeps in a pile of sand. It is a general agreement that Nama is to not be allowed to cook unless a specific date is set in advance. this is done so that the staff can hold a lottery to see who calls in sick while the others stay and deal with the horrible cooking and call out the next day.  Nama has notice that people tend to call out when she cooks but not seem to figure out it is related to the fact that she cooks.
